Who we are

In The Pot ("we", "us", "the app") is a golf scoring and social app for iPhone and Apple Watch. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. If you have questions, contact us at feedback@inthepot.app.

Information we collect

• Account information — your name, and the identifier from your sign-in method (e.g. Sign in with Apple) or your email address.
• Profile details you provide — such as your handicap, country, optional avatar, and Golf Australia ID.
• Round & social data — the rounds you play, scores, side-bet ("bits") records, comments, and your connections with other players.
• Location data — while you are playing a round, to show GPS distances to the green. This is used in-round and is not tracked in the background outside of an active round.
• Device & notification data — a push notification token (if you enable notifications) and basic technical information needed to run the service.

How we use your information

• To provide the core features — scoring, leaderboards, side-bet tracking, spectating and recaps.
• To connect you with the mates you choose to play or share with.
• To send notifications you've opted into (e.g. a mate teeing off, comments, or crew invites).
• To calculate handicaps and statistics.
• To maintain, secure and improve the service.

Health & fitness data

Where the app writes workout data to Apple Health during a round, that data stays in Apple Health under your control and is governed by Apple's privacy protections. We do not display heart-rate, pace, calorie or similar workout metrics in the app.

How your information is shared

Your round and social activity is visible to the mates you connect with and to people you share a round or recap with. We do not sell your personal information. We use trusted service providers (for example, our hosting and database provider) to operate the app; they process data on our behalf under appropriate obligations.

Data retention

We keep your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service. You can request deletion of your account and associated data at any time (see below).

Your choices & rights

• Manage notification and location permissions in your device Settings.
• Edit your profile details in the app at any time.
• Delete your account and personal data at any time in the app: My Golf → Settings → Delete Account.
• Request access to, correction of, or deletion of your data by emailing feedback@inthepot.app.

Children

In The Pot is not directed to children under the age required by your local law, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We'll post the updated version here with a new "last updated" date.
