Terms of Service

Placeholder notice: This is a starter template. Have it reviewed by a legal professional against your jurisdiction and business setup before publishing. It is not legal advice.
1. Acceptance
By downloading or using In The Pot ("the app"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you don't agree, please don't use the app.
2. The service
In The Pot is a golf scoring and social app that lets you organise, play, track and relive rounds with other players, including keeping a record of friendly side bets ("bits").
3. Friendly wagers
In The Pot is a record-keeping tool for the informal, friendly wagers you make with your own playing group. No money is collected, held, transferred or paid out through the app, and the app does not facilitate gambling. Any settlement of bets happens directly between you and your mates, offline. You are responsible for ensuring any wagers you make comply with the laws that apply to you.
4. Your account
You're responsible for the activity on your account and for keeping your sign-in secure. You agree to provide accurate information (such as your handicap) and to use the app respectfully toward other players.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to misuse the app — including harassing other players, posting unlawful or abusive content, attempting to breach security, or interfering with the service.
6. User content
You retain ownership of the content you create (scores, comments, photos). You grant us the licence needed to store, display and share that content within the app's features (for example, showing your round to mates you've connected with or in recaps you share).
7. Subscriptions & purchases
The core round experience is free. If we offer paid features, the price and terms will be shown before you buy, and any purchases are processed by Apple under the App Store's terms. Manage or cancel subscriptions in your Apple account settings.
8. Availability
We work to keep the app reliable but can't guarantee it will always be available or error-free. Features may change over time.
9. Disclaimers & liability
The app is provided "as is". To the extent permitted by law, we exclude implied warranties and are not liable for indirect or consequential loss. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law or other laws that cannot be excluded.
10. Termination
You can stop using the app and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if these terms are breached.
11. Changes
We may update these terms. We'll post the updated version here with a new "last updated" date; continued use means you accept the changes.
12. Contact
